Omagh St Endas recovered from conceding a first minute goal to comprehensively defeat Moortown this evening at Healy Park on a final score of 0-19 to 2-7. Both sides finished with fourteen players each following an incident five minutes before half time.
The visitors had started well and led until twenty minutes into the half by which time Conor O’Donnell drew the sides level. From then on it became the Ronan O’Neill show as the county man hit thirteen points for his team in an exhibition of finishing from play and placed balls. O’Neill’s tenth point put his side seven points clear midway through the second half but Omagh were rocked back on their heels when Peter Devlin capitalised on a defensive error to score his side’s second goal.
Although this reduced the gap to four points Omagh regained their composure and a burst of three fine points from O’Neill ensured that the home side moved to the top of the All County League Division One with four wins from four starts.
