Cavanagh Blow

Tyrone have been dealt a blow with the news that midfielder Colm Cavanagh has picked up an injury which could leave him in a race against time to be ready for their championship opener with Monaghan on May 20th.

The Moy man only returned to County colours recently after helping his club win the All Ireland Intermediate title. The current Allstar sustained an injury to his quad at training on Thursday night and its not the news that Mickey Harte wanted to hear.

“It was a strange one as it happened at the end of training on Thursday night when we were doing shooting practice and there was nobody near him,” said Mickey.

“He got a scan done and will know the results of that on Monday and we are looking at him being out for a few weeks at best and five or six weeks at worst.”
