St.Ciaran’s Ballygawley are through to the next playoff stage in the Danske Bank MacRory Cup after seeing off the challenge of St.Malachy’s Castlewellan on a 0-13 to 1-5 scoreline at the Pearse Ogs club in Armagh on Monday afternoon. The Down lads lead early on thanks to a Niall Cassidy penalty but four Darragh Canavan points, a brace from Cormaic Donnelly and one each from Tomas Hoy and Cormac Quinn saw St.Ciaran’s turn around at the break 0-8 to 1-3 in front. It was an advantage that they were to hold for the rest of the game with Canavan tagging on another two points and Quinn, Hoy and Oguz also on target. They now play Patrician High Carrickmacross at the end of January.
