Moy are through to the semi final of the Donnelly Vauxhall Intermediate championship after holding off a dogged challenge from Cookstown at Edendork on Saturday evening. Moy centre half forward Harry Loughran had the ball in the Father Rocks net inside sixty seconds and that was the score that ultimately divided the two sides in the end as it finished 1-13 to 2-7.
To their credit though Cookstown battled back from that poor start to lead at the break with full forward John Gilmore flicking in a goal before also making no mistake from the penalty spot. Matthew Carberry, Dean Teague, Sean Cavanagh and Ryan Coleman had points for their respective sides and it was Moy who finished the stronger with efforts from Loughran, Cavanagh and Karol McQuade to go through.
