ACL Div 3 Results & Table

Clogher scored 1-16 in their game with Clan na nGael but still lost out after the north Tyrone side plundered two goals in each half on their way to a hard fought win. Clogher led at the break 0-11 to 2-2 with Fergal McKenna, Ryan Mc Caughey and Conor Shiels landing seven points between them. Clan responded with goals apiece from Dominic Devine and Joe Ball to keep them in the game and second half goals from Stephen O’Neill and Aaron Devine added to three points from Danny Ball sealed the win for Clan na nGael.

Brocagh enjoyed a comfortable win away to Dregish on Sunday as Mickey Hughes (1-4), Ciaran Donnelly (2-2) and Mel Mc Mahon (1-0) all found the net for the Emmetts. Stevie Breen (3) and Aidan O’Kane (2) did most of the scoring for the home side.

Ryan Mayse hit 1-10 for his team as Newtownstewart put Drumragh to the sword at Clanabogan. Shane Cleary finished with 1-5 for the Sarsfields including a late penalty which ultimately had no bearing on the final outcome of the game. After a very competitive first half Newtown reached the break 0-7 to 0-4 in front before pulling away just after the restart as Mayse drove home a great goal. Tommy Mullin quickly replied with a three pointer of his own before Damian Donnelly combined well with Michael Corless to tag on his side’s second goal on forty minutes.

Table toppers Owen Roes continued their fine unbeaten league run with a 3-17 to 0-11 win over Fintona. County man Cathal Mc Shane starred for the Glenmornan outfit registering 2-8 while Aaron Mc Carney hit 0-7 for the Pearses. Owen Roes dominated from the off and led 1-11 to 0-5 at the break before easing to a very convincing win. Michael and Seamus Dooher scored 1-5 between them for the winners while Bernard Cassidy and Mark Mc Glynn shared the remainder of Fintona’s points.

Glenelly enjoyed their biggest win of the season as they found their shooting boots against Killeeshil. Ronan O’Kane hit 1-3 for the winners while Seamus Harkin (6), Eamon Mc Connell (5) and Colm Hicks (3) were on target for the winners while Rory Mc Cann (1-0), Pascal Donaghy (0-3), Ruairi O’Neill (0-2) and Conall Monaghan (0-1) did the scoring for the St. Marys.

Derrytresk registered a convincing win over an understrength Drumquin side on Sunday. An impressive first half saw them reach the break 2-8 to 1-3 up. Liam Slater and Ronan O’Neill found the net for the winners while Sean Mc Donagh hit the Wolfe Tones goal. Cathal O’Neill landed six points for the Hillmen while Liam Slater also knocked over four points. Eamon Teague (3), Frankie Mc Alynn (2) and Barry Gormley (2) accounted for most of their team’s points.
