Division One Wrap Up

Defending champions Dromore are the only side with a perfect record after three rounds thanks to a 1-11 to 0-7 success away to Pomeroy. Sean McDonnell got the St.Dympnas goal with Ruairi Sludden in superb form with 0-7 to his name. Frank Burns and Aidan Woods had a brace each for the Plunketts.

Trillick and Errigal Ciaran both dropped their first points of the campaign after it finished 0-8 apiece at Dunmoyle. It was a day for placed kickers with only four points being scored from play. Lee Brennan knocked over six frees for the visitors with the Harte cousins Davy and Peter converting three each for the hosts.

Coalisland had to pull out all the stops to beat Galbally 1-11 to 1-9 at Father Campbell Park. Paddy McNeice, Gerard Toner, Sean Murphy and Paul Rafferty had points for their respective sides with Plunkett Kane and Liam Rafferty getting the goals.

County champions Killyclogher experienced defeat for the first time when they lost 1-16 to 1-11 at home to Clonoe. The returning Danny McNulty kicked five points for the O’Rahillys with Dominic Campbell getting their goal. Mark Bradley and Conal McCann had points for the home side with Eoghan Bradley finding the net late on.

Strabane are still looking for their first points but they pushed Carrickmore all the way at Sigerson Park before losing 0-12 to 0-9. Martin Penrose, Conor Gormley and Ruairi Loughran were among the points for the St.Colmcilles with Warner Mullan and Michael Etherson on target for Strabane.

Donaghmore made it two wins out of three when they came from seven points down to win at neighbours Edendork. Darren McCurry top scored for the St.Malachys with seven points while Stephen Gervin got their goal. Cormac McCann scored four points for the visitors with Sean McCaul getting their goal from the penalty spot as it finished 1-13 to 1-11.

Urney collected their first points since their return to division one when they accounted for Greencastle 2-12 to 0-15 at home.  Johnny Lafferty and Aidan Lynch got the goals for the St.Columbas with Ryan Henry and Plunkett Langan among the points. Mark Carson and Cahir McCullagh did the baulk of the scoring for the St.Patricks.

Ronan O’Neill came on at halftime for Omagh and weighed in with five points including the equaliser in injury time as the St.Endas took a share of the spoils at Ardboe. Shay McGuigan and Kyle Coney led the way in the scoring stakes for the Rossas with Cormac O’Neill getting a couple for Omagh.
