Derrytresk continued their winning ways with a ten point 1-14 to 1-04 win over Killeeshil. The St Marys led 1-4 to 0-4 at the break with Bernard O’Neill getting their goal and Conal Monaghan, Liam Hughes and Pascal Donaghy landing points. However that was as good as it got for Killeeshil who failed to score after the break. Derrytresk took over and added to their first half tally with a Liam Slater goal and points from Niall Gavin, Liam Slater, Cathal O’Neill and P Bell to win comfortably.

It was bragging rights for Owen Roes following their comfortable win over Glenelly on Sunday. Cathal Mc Shane (5), Conor O’Neill (4) and Michael Dooher (1-1) top scored for the Roes who led 1-8 to 0-3 at the break after a dominant opening thirty minutes. Glenelly’s scores came courtesy of Seamus Harkin, Ronan O’Kane and Colm Hicks but on the day they were well beaten by a better team. Final score: 1-15 to 0-3 in favour of Owen Roes.

Beragh travelled out to Clanabogan and came away with a well deserved 3-9 to 1-12 win. The Red Knights began strongly and led 1-5 to 0-5 at the break. Martin Taggart, Shane Cleary, Kevin Marron and Shane Devine were on target for the home side while Jack Campbell, Oisin Donnelly and Niall Owens were among the scorers for Beragh. The winners bagged two goals inside a five minute spell in the second half and managed to keep their opponents at arm’s length for the remainder of the game in spite of the best efforts of Gareth Starrs, James Colgan and Shane Cleary.

Newtownstewart defeated neighbours Dregish 2-13 to 0-10 in a very entertaining game on Sunday. Aidan O’Kane bagged 0-9 for Dregish and will feel such a scoring return deserved more. Ryan Mayse top scored for the winners with 1-6 with his goal coming just after the start of the second half. Piaras Mc Sorley, Kevin Gallagher and Aidan Mc Sorley all scored points while Jude Lynch got his team’s second goal two minutes from time.
