Down got their 2017 season off to a good start as they defeated Queen’s by three points in Downpatrick this afternoon. The Down goal came from the penalty spot thanks to Alan Davidson.
Damian Barton’s Derry side entertained Armagh in Owenbeg this afternoon. Five goals later, three to Derry, two to Armagh the home side came out on top. Aidan McLaughlin, Emmet McGuckin, and Enda Lynn hit the net for Derry, while Anthony Duffy and Ciaran McKeever struck the three pointers for the Orchard county.
St Mary’s University College had a single point to spare over Antrim this afternoon despite a well struck penalty by Tomas McCann.

Oisin Neill picked up the man of the match award for St Mary’s.
Malachy O’Rourke’s Monaghan side got their season off to the perfect start as they ran out one point victors over Fermanagh. David McAllister hit the goal for Monaghan in the opening 35 minutes while sharp shooter Tomas Corrigan hit a brilliant 0-9 for the Erne men.
