Omagh’s reign as County champions came to an end at Carrickmore on Sunday evening when, before a bumper crowd, Dromore gained revenge for last season’s defeat at the semi final stage.
A goal a minute from time from substitute Fearghal O’Neill made the game safe for the St.Dympnas who won on a 1-10 to 0-7 scoreline. Niall Sludden weighed in with four outstanding first half points for the winners with Conor O’Neill getting a couple as well. The Dromore defence was brilliantly marshalled by Cathal McCarron and Ryan McMenamin with on a night when Ronan O’Neill, Conor Meyler and Conan Grugan supplied points for Omagh.
