Eglish camogie club lifted their second championship trophy in less than a week. They won the under 16 Eileen Coney Cup against Edendork on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Moy.
Eglish won the toss and decided to play with the aid of a very strong wind in the first half. Edendork never really got started in the game particularly in the opening thirty minutes as Eglish built up a sizeable lead.
Edendork managed to launch some great attacks in the second half and added a few very fine scores for their efforts. However it still turned out to be a comfortable win in the end for the formidable Eglish side.
The Eileen Coney Cup was presented to the joint Eglish captains Una Barret and Megan Vincent by Roisin O’Neill. Casey Gallagher won the player of the championship and was awarded for her efforts with a camogie t-shirt presented by Josephine McKeown on behalf of Tyrone County Board.
The board would like to thank Moy for use of facilities and also Siobhan McGrath for officiating at the final.
