Cailin Mc Cann scored 3-8 while Shannon Monaghan hit an impressive 4-6 as Errigal Ciaran eclipsed St Macartans to wrestle away the Grade One minor title from their neighbours. This was a complete team display from the winners which was appreciated by the bumper crowd at Aghaloo as Errigal led from the start. The new champions dominated all over the park with every player contributing to the victory. Macartans were short a couple of starters but there was no stopping their opponents on the night.
Rock claimed the Grade Four honours with a good win over Pomeroy at Kildress while there was a just a goal between the two West Tyrone rivals in the Grade Three final as Drumragh edged out Badoney 2-7 to 1-7. The Grade Two final will be replayed of course after Saturday night’s draw between Clonoe and Coalisland.
On a busy day for ladies football there were defeats for both the Tyrone Under 14 and Under 21 sides.
