Ardboe made the short trip to play neighbours Ballinderry in the Ulster Senior League Final on Friday night and the Derry men triumphed on 3-12 to 1-11 scoreline. The Shamrocks greeted the short whistle 2-5 to 0-6 in front with Daniel McKinless and Daniel Bateson getting their goals in the opening five minutes, Mick Hagan with four points for the Rossas with defenders Oisin Devlin and Gavin Teague also on target.
Conleith Gilligan and Raymond Wilkinson traded points with Hagan and Kyle Coney on the restart before a Michael McIver goal eight minutes from time ended the game as a contest. Mattie Bell had Ardboe’s last point of the game while Hagan bagged a late consolation goal as well.
