Trillick find themselves now in pole position to land the Tyrone All County League Division 2 league title following a 1-13 to 1-8 win over Greencastle away from home. Tonight’s tie was always going to be pivotable in the race for league honours but it seems as though the win may just have come at a major cost. Midfielder Richard Donnelly had to be helped off in the second half with what looks like a serious ankle injury. It’s very early to say but it appears that if the early diagnosis is true Donnelly could well miss the remainder of the league programme and the county Intermediate championship final on 5th October.
