Drumragh produced a real smash and grab at Clogher in the evening fixture when a last minute Forty five from Tommy Murphy sailed straight to the net to snatch a 1-14 to 1-12 win for the Sarsfields. A goal in the first half from P Mc Kernan helped to put Clogher 1-7 to 0-6 in front at half time. The Eire Ogs looked likely to hold on and win until Murphy’s last ditch forty five metre kick. The Drumragh forward finished with 1-8 to his name but it will be the match winning goal that will have pleased him most.

The Pearse Ogs had enjoyed a decent amount of possession throughout the game but even with Aidan O’Kane in fine scoring form they failed to capitalise on the number of opportunities they created. Sean O’Kane fisted to the net in the seventh minute for the winners and Paddy Harkin bagged the all important second goal as Clan na Gael were forced to work hard to build on their 1-4 to 0-6 halftime lead. Dregish made them fight all the way for their win but second half points from Danny Ball and Cathal Magill saw them home 2-7 to 0-7.
