DIVISION ONE WRAP UP

Dromore continued their good run of form with a hard fought but deserved win over Cookstown on Friday evening. Ruairi Sludden and Eoin Mc Cusker hit twelve points between them as the St Dympnas eased to a 1-14 to 1-7 win in fading light. Cookstown will rue their slow start in both halves which allowed their visitors to build a lead. The Fr Rocks did mount a strong fight-back in the first half to trail by two at the break (0-7 to 0-5) but Dromore hit 1-3 without reply in the opening twelve minutes of the second period and controlled the game until the end. Eoin Mulligan top scored for Cookstown with 1-5 while Emmett O’Neill found the net for Dromore.

Killyclogher made it five wins out of five when they got the better of Eglish on home soil. Declan Leonard, Leo Meenan and Mark Bradley were the winners’ goal scorers with Conor McKenna getting both goals for the visitors.

Clonoe won the game of the day when they defeated Omagh on a 1-13 to 2-8 score line at O’Rahilly Park. Daryl Magee got the goal for the home side with Declan McClure, Colm Doris and Dwayne Quinn among their points. Cormac O’Neill and Conor Meyler found the net for the St.Endas who lost for the first time this season.

Ardboe maintained their perfect record thanks to a 1-13 to 1-9 success at Moy. Michael Lynn got the goal for the Rossas with Michael Hagan, Tommy McGuigan and Oisin Devlin featuring among their points.  Karol McQuade was the Moy goal scorer with Ryan Coleman kicking four points.

Donaghmore looked to be on their way to breaking their points duck until Coalisland fought back to win 1-15 to 1-11 at Father Campbell Park.  Matthew McGahan got the St.Patricks goal with Mark Faloon and Dermot Thornton supplying points for their respective sides.  The Fianna came with a late surge that included points from Cathair Quinn and Thornton as well as a Kyle Proctor goal to win the day
