The President of G.A.A. Handball Ireland, Willie Roche paid a special visit to Strabane on Thursday to help promote the forthcoming Féile na nGael which is being hosted in Ulster from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd June with Tyrone Centre of Excellence Garvaghey set to host several of the finals.
Willie called into Gaelscoil Uí Dhochartaigh, Ballycolman Estate and was warmly greeted by the Principal Máire Ní Dhochartaigh, members of the teaching staff and the delighted pupils.
Members of the local Strabane Sigersons club were also present and afterwards Willie Roche paid a visit to the adjacent facilities at Páirc Mhic Sioghair to view the newly constructed Activity Wall which the children from the Gaelscoil are using regularly for their P.E. lessons and learning the games of Handball and Rounders.
