Busy Weekend For Tyrone Ladies

It’s set to be a hectic weekend in ladies football in Tyrone with four of the county sides including the seniors in action.

The seniors return to Lidl national league duty with their division two clash with Clare brought forward twenty four hours to Saturday as the Under 14s and minors welcome Antrim for an Ulster championship double bill at Fr Hackett Park.
The Under 16s will attempt to build on their opening round win in the Ulster series on Sunday with a trip to Fermanagh.

Gerry Moane’s senior squad will be aiming to get back to winning ways in the league after a heavy loss to Armagh and on the back of an enforced three week break after the Cavan game was postponed. Moane has limited options in terms of selection this week too, influential skipper Neamh Woods misses out as she heads to Australia while several players are out injured or unavailable.

Tyrone need a win to maintain their push for a league semi-final outing though it could all well come down to a winner take all clash with Cavan on April 8th.

The county Under 14s and Minors drew with Donegal on the opening day of group games in Killygordon, a difficult surface didn’t allow much for the way of decent football , the pristine surface of Augher will afford both Tyrone sides a chance to express themselves on Saturday.
Tyrone’s 16s eased to a big win over Down in their opener and look well placed for the trip West to the Erne county.
