Aghaloo man Mickey Donnelly is the man charged with bringing Ulster and All Ireland U-20 success to the Oakleaf county. Donnelly took charge of the Tyrone minor side for five years winning one Ulster minor title in 2012.
The Derry county board issued the following statement regarding the appointment.
Following a meeting of Coiste Chontae Dhoire, we are pleased to confirm that Mickey Donnelly has been ratified as Derry under-20 football manager for a three year term. 2018 will see under the under-20 grade replace under-21. Derry will play the winners of Cavan/Donegal in the Ulster quarter final on a date, time and venue to be confirmed.
