Coalisland are through to the division one league final after beating reigning champions Dromore 1-16 to 2-10 at Father Campbell Park on Saturday afternoon. The Fianna were out of the traps quickly registering the first four points of the contest from Stephen McNally, Padraig Hampsey, Dermot Thornton and Cathair Quinn.

Sean McNabb then opened Dromore’s account but in the 14th minute Coalisland grabbed their goal through Thornton. Plunkett Kane, Brian Toner, Thornton, Sean McNabb and Ronan McNabb had points for their respective sides as Coalisland led 1-10 to 0-6 at the short whistle.

Thornton opened the second half scoring but Dromore responded with Conor O’Neill finding the net. O’Neill and Ruairi Sludden then helped close the gap to two as Dromore upped the tempo. Coalisland though didn’t panic as they reeled off points from McNeice and substitute duo Cormac O’Hagan and Eamon McGlinchey. Sludden converted a penalty deep into injury time but it proved to be the last kick of the game.
