A 2-8 to 0-5 win for Owen Roes over Newtownstewart today confirms them as Junior Football League champions for 2017. Kevin Gallagher (3), Damien Donnelly (1) and Piaras Mc Sorley (1) did the scoring for the St Eugene’s.

Dregish won the bragging rights in the basement battle with neighbours Drumquin 0-14 to 0-10. Frankie Mc Alynn top scored for the Wolfe Tones with 0-5 while Eamon Teague landed a brace.

Killyman enjoyed a morale boosting win over Brackaville on a 3-14 to 0-10 score line. Goals from Michael Donnelly (2) and Ronan Mc Veigh proved crucial while points from Ciaran Og Hughes, Owen O’Rourke, Michael Donnelly and Darragh Morgan helped keep Brackaville at bay. Sean Day, Shea Fee and Mickey Mc Geary were among the scorers for the Owen Roes.

In another local derby Clan na nGael had seven points to spare over Glenelly after the Clans men led 0-5 to 0-3 at the break. Niall Kerlin finished the day with 1-1 for the winners while Danny Ball (4), Joe Ball (3) and Gareth Mc Dermott (3) accounted for their points.

Tattyreagh enjoyed a convincing win over parish rivals Drumragh. Goals from Robert Porter, Peadar Mullen and Colly Harkin were crucial to the outcome of the game while Johnny Harkin and James Darcy were responsible for eight Tattyreagh points between them.
