Tyrone U17s retained the Jim McGuigan Cup at the Glen Club in Maghera on Saturday afternoon when they eased to a 0-15 to 0-7 success over Donegal. It was a fine all round team display rom the winners with nine players getting their names on the score sheet with three substitutes weighing in with five points between them.
Michael Conroy contributed four points and there was a brace each for Cormac Donnelly, Ethan Jordan and Tarlach Quinn. Thomas Hoy, Cormac Donaghy and Ruairi Slane all featured on the score sheet as well for the winners. Oisin Bonner top scored for Donegal with 0-3 with Mark McAteer getting a brace. The same two sides meet in the opening round of the Ulster U17 championship in two weeks time.
