Croke Park hosted a special presentation evening earlier this week which recognised and rewarded the top university players in hurling and football.
Following their success in this year’s Sigerson Cup St Mary’s University had seven players named in the Rising Stars Football team. Four of the players chosen were from Tyrone and included team captain Conor Meyler from Omagh. The other three Red Hand players selected were Killyclogher’s Conal Mc Cann, Kieran Mc Geary of Pomeroy and Cathal Mc Shane from Owen Roes.
