St.Ciaran’s Ballygawley are through to the Danske Bank MacLarnon Cup final after a 0-17 to 2-8 victory over St.Louis Ballymena at Ballinderry on Saturday afternoon.
St.Ciaran’s made all the early running with points from Caoimhin O’Donnell, Pascal Donaghy, Thomas Hoy and Darragh Canavan giving them a 0-5 to -2 lead. St.Louis midfielder Ronan Kelly had kicked his sides’ two points and he also grabbed a goal before he converted a free as they turned things around to lead 1-4 to -6 at halftime.
Kelly opened the second half scoring but two quick-fire points from Daniel Millar levelled matters. O’Donnell was then wide from a penalty but he made amends with three points in a row. Cormac Donnelly added to their advantage and while Conal Doherty responded for St.Louis Donnelly, Donaghy and substitute Pauraic McNeilis helped ensure victory for St.Ciaran’s.
