The lights will be burning long into the night this Saturday evening in Garvaghey as the Michaela Foundation aims to break a Guinness World Record. Some 42 players from clubs across Ulster and beyond will play a game that will last for 24 hours.
The Guinness team have set down a number of stringent rules stating that the game must be played within the spirit and rules of the sport. Each team will consist of 21 players, with six substitutes allowed to come in and out of the game as much and as often as needed.
The Marathon Match will support both Cancer Focus NI and Michaela Foundation. The game is being supported by O’Neills International Sports who will provide the strip for both teams. To date almost £25,000 has been raised for the game. To make you donation today click on the link below…
