Mickey Harte started the 2016 season with silverware in the shape of the Dr McKenna Cup and he finished it with the Myles McCann Memorial Cup after he managed the TTM All Stars to a win over league champions Dromore. Following the All Star Game he spoke to TTM. He was fulsome in his praise of Dromore man Niall Sudden.
