Clann na Gael are through to the last four of the Donnelly Vauxhall Junior championship after beating Clogher 3-12 to 2-7 in their replay at Garvaghey on Tuesday evening.
The Eire Ogs led early on with Ciaran Shields getting a couple of points but then Clann na Gael took over. Damian Ball, Michael O’Neill and Aaron Devine had points with the latter also finding the net. Tyrone great Stephen O’Neill then rolled back the years with points with either foot as well as a goal to leave his side leading 2-7 to 0-5 at halftime.
The first score of the second half proved to be a Marc McConnell goal and when Dermot McCaffrey followed that up with a long range point the comeback looked to be on. Clann na Gael though regained control with points from Ryan McGill, Danny Ball and Damian Ball as well as an Adrian Ball goal and while McConnell got his second major late on it was only a consolation score. Clann na Gael now meet Tattyreagh in the semi final next Tuesday night.
