Eskra took a while to come to terms with the very windy conditions at Dungannon before they eventually saw off the threat of Stewartstown 1-12 to 1-5.

Peter Hughes led the line for the winners hitting 0-3 inside the opening twenty minutes to help his team into a 0-5 to no score lead. A well worked goal from Ryan Gartland saw Eskra reach the break 1-6 to 0-1 ahead. Stewartstown’s solitary first half score came arrived in the 29th minute courtesy of Anton Coyle.

If they were going to make any sort of impact in the game the Harps needed to make a good start to the second half but it was Eskra who grasped the initiative as Cormac Arkinson, Ryan Gartland and Joe Mc Carroll scored to extend the Emmetts lead. With Hughes and Niall Mc Ginn pulling the strings and Adrian Scullion controlling things at the back Eskra looked set for the win.

Dan Lowe eventually added to the Harps total fifteen minutes into the second half and they were given a further boost when Eskra play maker Peter Hughes received a black card. However Eskra maintained their shape and continued to boss the game. Stewartstown did add three points and a goal from the foot of a quickly taken free kick by Ronan O’Neill but it merely gave the scoreline an air of respectability.

The game finished 1-12 to 1-5 in favour of Eskra who will now face Pomeroy in the semi finals.
