So the Daryl Comac Memorial Tournament has come to an end…and what a tournament it has been.
From the Launch Night and All Ireland Chat Night to the Finals Day; it has been simply fantastic.
The launch night was a great introduction to this tournament and a fitting way to announce our chosen charity, The Cormac Trust.
Thanks to our panelists last night; Joe Brolly, Bernard Flynn, Brian McGuigan, Kevin McCloy, Barry McElduff and Mark Sidebottom. It was an honour and privilege to have these men in our club…and of course the craic was mighty!
Well done to Edendork U17 ladies who won the ladies tournament and to the Rock U17 boys who won the boys’ tournament.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in this Tournament.
It wouldn’t have been possible without the participation and co-operation of all teams. Thanks to Aodh Ruadh, Moy, The Rock, Donaghmore, Edendork, Clonoe, Coalisland and Stewartstown who took part in the ladies tournament. And thanks to Brocagh, Derrytresk, Brackaville, The Rock and Killyman who competed so well in the boys’ tournament.
A special thanks to all our sponsors; your kindness has been phenomenal and will go a long way for our chosen charity.
Huge thanks to everyone who has carried out various roles throughout the tournament, your help has ensured the various events have run smoothly.
One of the things that stands out in this tournament is how everyone gathered in our hall to enjoy the tea and refreshments. A lot of time and effort went into the preparation and it was very much appreciated by everyone.
Finally, to our supporters, you have made it all worthwhile. Thank you all so much for the continued support of this Tournament and Our Club.
We are extremely proud of everything our U17 team has achieved in the past number of weeks and for reaching the final today. They are a great group of lads and i’ts been a pleasure to watch them in action.
To the Comac and O’Hagan families; it has been an honour to host this tournament in Daryl’s name. We were lucky to have had him as a member of our Club and we have been blessed to call him a team mate and a friend. He’ll always be one of ours!
