Saturday night proved to be a good night for the blues in division one with wins for Dromore, Coalisland and Galbally over Ardboe, Kildress and Strabane respectively. The St.Dympnas won at the Loughshore in a meeting between two unbeaten sides with Niall Sludden, Eoin McCusker and Ruairi Sludden among their points, Shea McGuigan and Nishy O’Neill on target for the Rossas. The Fianna were 1-11 to 1-8 winners over Kildress at Father Campbell Park. Cormac O’Hagan and Peter Donnelly were among the points for the winners with County defender Padraig Hampsey getting their goal. Damian Kelly got the Wolfe Tones major with Des Treacy and Philip Lennon supplying points. Something had to give at Pearse Park in a meeting between two sides who had lost their opening three games and Galbally emerged comfortable 2-14 to 1-9 winners. Sean Murphy, Paul Rafferty, Liam Rafferty and Christopher Morris were among the points for the winners with Cathal Brannigan and Aidan O’Hagan getting their goals. Ryan O’Kane got the Sigersons goal with Warner Mullan their top scorer on the night.
