Tattyreagh overturned a three point half-time deficit to seal a place in the Division three Play-off final on Sunday. They came back from 1-5 to 0-5 down at Castlederg to edge a tight game 0-14 to 1-10. Hero on the day was half time sub Jarlath Mc Donagh who hit three second half points including the winner deep in injury time.
The Derg will feel this was one that they let slip from their grasp following an impressive first half which saw them reach the break in a strong position following Sean Meehan’s goal and points from Mark Corry (2), Sean Harper (2) and Stefain Gallen. They found the going tough in the second half however as the number of wides proved costly and the Tattyreagh defence tightened up considerably.
Castlederg managed five second half points but it was the Tatts that finished the stronger with Mc Donagh the hero on the day. Duncan Hyndman (2), James Darcy (2), Johnny Harkin (2), Eoghan Murray (2), Michael Mullin, Oisin mullin and Gareth Mimnagh were the others to find the target for the winners.
