It has certainly been a busy weekend of ladies championship action across all grades.
Carrickmore and Errigal are set to lock horns in the Tyrone SFC semi-final in what promises to be the tie of the championship at any level so far this year after the Carmen girls withstood a second half comeback against Cill Iseal to win 4-16 to 3-6. Ciara Clarke 1-3 , Etaione O’kane 1-1 and Megan McCann’s 2-1 helped Carmen home.

St Macartans beat Aodh Ruadh 1-11 to 1-5 with young Chloe McCaffery scoring 1-2 while Cathy and Joline Donnelly also hit points. Credit to the Dungannon girls they refused to give up and worked their socks off for the duration with Rebecca Barker hitting their goal.

Errigal had a facile win over Cappagh with Shannon Monaghan in superb scoring form finishing the night with four goals.
In the junior championship Loughmacrory proved too strong for Drumragh in the end winning by two points. Meanwhile Trillick ran in six goals as they brushed aside the challenge of Pomeroy while Moy were comfortable winners against a disappointing Castlederg.
Glenelly joined Clann na nGael in the last four of the Intermediate championship after they secured a 5-11 to 3-8 win over a fancied Sperrin Og. Sigersons put behind them poor league form to see off Dromore with Conwell, Brogan and Houston among the goals while Emma Smyth and Nuala Mc Hugh impressed for Dromore. They now join Ardboe and Clann in the semi finals following their wins over Kildress and St Davog’s
