Carrickmore lifted the grade one U14 league title when they denied Dungannon a clean sweep in an enthralling decider at Galbally on Wednesday evening. It was a contest that ebbed one way and then the other and demonstrated all that is good with Gaelic football as it was laced with quality scores, great defending and commitment and will to win from all players. In the end the St.Colmcilles triumphed on a 5-8 to 4-7 scoreline. Daniel Fullerton [1-3], Paddy McCallan [2-0], Stephen Grogan [1-2], Tiarnan McGarrity [1-1], Lorcan McBride and Conor Cuddy were the marksmen for the winners. Aaron Kerr top scored for the Clarkes with 2-2, Cormac Hughes got a goal and Jamie Comac and Sean Paul McKernan also contributed on the scoresheet.
