Ladies Minor Grade 2 final
Clonoe 5-7, Coalisland 5-7.
The Tyrone Minor Grade 2 Football Final at Ardboe on Saturday evening ended in a remarkable draw. The all East Tyrone tie between neighbours and rivals Clonoe and Coalisland ended 5-7 apiece after the Fianna came back from thirteen points down to level things with a late Katie McNally goal ensuring a replay would be required.
Orla Gavin scored 4-2 for the O’Rahillys as they built up 4-5 to 1-4 lead at the break with the Fianna goal coming from Rebecca Harte. Into the second half Clonoe still looked on course for the title when Cassie McClure scored goal number five. Few at that stage would have envisaged a Coalisland comeback but come back the Fianna did.
Chloe Corr rattled in two goals and Nicole Murphy also found the net before Mc Nally’s late equaliser. The game was a credit to the girls, their clubs, their families and ladies youth football. The replay will be confirmed later.
