History is set to be made in Garvaghey this evening when Eglish woman Roisin Jordan is set to become the very first lady to chair a county board anywhere in Ireland. It is expected the fellow nominees for the position Donal Magee and Eugene McConnell will not contest election for the top post in the county management committee. Outgoing county chairman Ciaran McLaughlin who will manage his own club side Strabane in 2015 is expected to contest the election to become the Ulster Council delegate for the county.
