Midfielder Louis Conlon converted two frees and Michael Conroy palmed in a goal as the Tyrone lads led 1-2 to 0-3 at half time. Cavan had the first three points of the second period before Conroy levelled matters. Neil Kilpatrick and Conroy helped the Academy into the lead but Cavan equalised before substitute Bradley O Kapje got the winning goal near the end.
