Omagh will bid to make history at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon when they do battle with Donegal kingpins St.Eunans Letterkenny in the Ulster Senior Club semi final. After ending a twenty six year wait to get their hands on the O’Neill Cup the St.Endas produced a superb comeback to defeat title favourites Crossmaglen in the quarter final.

After trailing by seven points early in the second half they turned the game on its head with a superb display and if they can repeat that here then they will be well on their way to the final. They have to approach this game though with the same mind-set as they showed against the Armagh champions and no doubt Larry Strain and Barry McGinn will have them well prepared.

Key players for the Tyrone champions include Justin McMahon, Barry Tierney, Hugh Gallagher, Conan Grugan, Joe McMahon, Jason McAnulla, Conor O’Donnell and Ronan O’Neill.

This will be St.Eunans eighth weekend in a row playing championship football and like their opponents they are aiming for a first ever final appearance at this level. After beating holders Glenswilly in the Donegal final they accounted for Fermanagh champions Roslea last weekend and they are a side that can’t be underestimated.

Omagh though look like a side that are on a mission this year and as they showed against Coalisland, Dromore, Carrickmore and Crossmaglen they are never beaten until the final whistle sounds. That should stand to them here again and they are tipped to progress to a final meeting with either Slaughtneil or Clontibret.
