Drumragh 5.6 – 2.11 Badoney
In an absorbing contest on Sunday at Tattyreagh, Drumragh’s goals proved to be the difference between these two sides who have dominated ladies Grade 3 under sixteen football this season.
In a highly competitive and entertaining match both teams gave it their all, and it took a strong last ten minutes from Drumragh to close the game out in a fine team performance, with the final score coming from their captain Eva McCaul worthy of winning any match.
Of note, this double winning team were co-managed by Neamh Woods and Edel Taggart, both of whom were on the Drumragh under 16 team which won Grade 3 on 30 October 2004, the year the Drumragh ladies section was founded. The other co-managers this year were Joanne Barrett and Claire McGread.
