St Macartans and Omagh St Endas both completed league and championship doubles on Saturday afternoon following their victories over Aodh Ruadh and Sperrin Og respectively.

Both teams recently exited the Ulster Club series and thus were able to focus totally on the final game of their season. Macartans accounted for their opponents courtesy of goals at the the right time. Joline Donnelly, who finished with 1-4, Shauna Mc Girr and Cathy Donnelly all hit the net as the county senior champions eased to a ten point win on a score line of 3-6 to 0-5. Aodh Ruadh will rue a missed second half penalty but will have few complaints on a day when Aoife Mc Gahan and Nicola Rafferty were among their scorers.

St Endas ladies picked up the club’s sixth trophy of the season following their defeat of Sperrin Og. The tie was only confirmed as the final on Thursday when Clan Na Gael and Aghyaran withdrew.
The St Enda’s got off to a flyer when Hayley Ballard and Cara McCrossan each found the net in the opening four minutes, Ballard’s goal coming within thirty seconds. It was a start that was always going to be hard to haul back as McCrossan added further points and Terri McCullagh found her range early on. Omagh led 2-6 to 1-1 at the break with Neamh O’Neill crashing home a goal for Sperrin Og on 27 minutes.
Sperrin Og needed the lift of an early second half breakthrough but it wasn’t to be as McCrossan drilled home a third Omagh goal. To their credit Sperrin Og hit 0-3 with O’Neill 0-2 and Laura Haigney on target but Omagh were not to be undone in their quest for the double. Nicola Donnelly, McCullagh and McCrossan grabbed points before substitute Molly Woodhead slotted home the fourth goal to end a miserable day for Greencastle.

Omagh scorers Cara McCrossan 2-4, Terri McCullagh 0-4, Molly Woodhead 1-0, Hayley Ballard 1-0, Nicola Donnelly and Clodagh Mullen 0-1 each

Sperrin Og Scorers Neamh O’Neill 1- 3, Laura Haigney, Carla McCann, Amy McCullagh 0-1 each
