The Tyrone Association in Dublin have plans in place for the next three months that will provide opportunities for entertainment for their members while at the same time raising funds for the Spirit of Paul Mc Girr.

It is with great pleasure that we can announce a great evening’s fun to be had on the evening of the 20th September, ’14 (the eve of the All-Ireland football final), and all for a fantastic cause.

This will be the first of a triumvirate of events that we are having over the next three months. All proceeds from this first event will be going to the Spirit of Paul Mc Girr charity foundation, and €25 per head will get you: a presentation from the Spirit of Paul Mc Girr (primarily about the very worthy work they undertake on the African Continent – https://www.facebook.com/pages/Spirit-of-Paul-Mc-Girr/349105652203?fref=ts), a guest appearance and talk from the one-and-only Peter Canavan (nothing more to be said), platter-food, and music from the Christy Moore doppelganger Liam Byrne (http://www.liambyrne.com/site/).

Tickets are currently on sale, and you can contact any of the committee in respect of same. The venue for the function is The Lansdowne Hotelhttp://lansdownehotel.ie

Our second of the three events will be a talk to be given by Fergal Mc Cluskey, on the subject and period of his book Tyrone The Irish Revolution, 1912-23, to be held on the evening of Monday, 27th October, at 7:30pm, probably in the Lansdowne too, though we will confirm venue closer to the time. Entry will be free.

And the third and final event for 2014, will of course be our Annual Evening at the Shelbourne Dogs (with Dinner). This will take place on the evening of November 6th, with the priced (still) pegged at €60 per person.
